Karachi reports first killing over robbery resistance in 2023

A mechanic named Shahid was killed by merciless robbers after he refused to give his valuables to the street criminals in Karachi’s Korangi area.
SSP Korangi Sajid Amir Saduzai said that two robbers opened fire in an attempt to flee after dacoity in Bilal Colony, making it the year’s first killing over robbery resistance.
Shahid, mechanic by profession, was hit with a bullet, later he succumbed to his injuries and breathed his last.
SSP informed that the robbers were arrested by the police after ‘encounter’.
Earlier on December 27, 27-year-old Asmatullah was shot and killed during a robbery near Umer Farooq Chowrangi, Sector 50-B of Surjani Town.
He was intercepted by armed muggers riding on a motorbike and as soon as he offered some resistance one of them shot him and rode away.
It was the last incident of murder reported in 2022 in Karachi over robbery resistance.
