KARACHI: Karachi has recorded the highest temperature at night since 2015 with 32.5°C.
According to Chief Meteorological Officer Sardar Sarfraz, the temperature of Karachi remained 40°C even in evening.
“Karachi has recorded the second highest temperature in Pakistan’s history amid the night of Sunday and Monday that was 32.5 degrees ” said Sardar Sarfaraz.
However, Sarfaraz further revealed that the night on May 8, 2015, was the hottest night on record with 34°C.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department said that the temperature will likely reach to 34 degrees on the day as well.
Hot and dry weather s is likely to continue in Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Tando Allahyar, and Thatta districts until the evening.
Moreover, moderate rain is expected in Tharparkar and Umerkot districts, and at isolated places in Badin and Sanghar districts during the next 36 hours.
