Karachi records highest ratio of coronavirus positive cases
ISLAMABAD: According to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the highest number of covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Karachi at 13.01 percent.
The second and third highest positivity ratio of the viral disease has been recorded in Lahore (9.49 percent) and Mirpur (8.47 percent) respectively.
The NCOC reported that the positivity ratio in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) was 8.25 percent, Sindh 7.91 percent, Balochistan 4.78 percent, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 6.41 percent, Islamabad 3.58 percent, Punjab 3.40 percent, and Gilgit-Baltistan 1.22 percent.
Currently, Pakistan has 2.04 percent mortality rate against 2.21 percent globally. 91 percent of the deceased were admitted to hospitals during their last days and 58 percent of them remained on ventilator.
62 more people died of Coronavirus in Pakistan during the last twenty-four hours. According to the latest statistics, 1,792 people tested covid-19 positive during this period after tests of 34,772 people.
The figure of active Covid cases in the country is 40,491 while 409,085 people have been recovered from the virus.
