Karachi Police are sealing large restaurants in an attempt to contain the coronavirus spread.
Police have taken action in many locations, including on Rashid Minhas Street, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Keamari.
According to sources, they are against large crowds of men. The rationale is that restaurants also have crowds and the coronavirus could easily spread.
The Sindh administration had issued advisories urging people to refrain from going to crowded places, particularly if they are over 40 or immuno-compromised.
Police, so far, are not closing down smaller tea shops.
Pakistan has confirmed 53 cases of coronavirus, with 35 cases registered in Sindh as of Sunday night. The Sindh government has released many advisories and is advising people not to go out at all.
