Karachi operation boosted confidence of investors: DG Rangers

KARACHI: Director General Pakistan Rangers Sindh Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry on Saturday said positive outcome of Karachi operation has increased the confidence of local and foreign investors.
“Restoration of peace in the metropolis was the result of cooperation of people and efforts and sacrifices of all law enforcement institutions,” the DG Rangers said while speaking at the `Professional leadership summit 2021` organized by Mass Human Resources Services in Karachi.
He said the paramilitary force was taking every possible step to further improve the law and order situation in Karachi.

On May 29 the following year, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had directed Pakistan Rangers Sindh to expedite the ongoing target operation in Karachi.
He had said this during a meeting with Director-General Pakistan Rangers Sindh Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry at the Chief Minister House in Karachi.
During the meeting, the matters of law and order situation and ongoing targeted operation were discussed.
On May 27, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed had said the governments of Sindh and federation had decided to jointly eradicate dacoits from katcha areas of Shikarpur and Jacobabad.
