Karachi mosques begin adopting precautionary steps against coronavirus as Ramazan approaches
As Ramazan approaches, mosques in Karachi have begun introducing precautionary steps against the novel coronavirus.
The mosques’ floor was marked with circles, each at a distance of six meters to comply with social distance laws.
All SOPs issued by the government and advisories provided by clerics are followed according to the mosque management.
The government has allowed citizens, along with religious leaders across the country, to pray inside mosques if they adhere to 20 conditions.
The requirements include banning older people, disabled people and children from entering mosques.
Chairperson of the Council of Islamic Ideology, Qibla Ayaz, has urged individuals to deliver taraweeh prayers at home.
