Karachi man ‘kills’ his father, injures his stepmother, and flees
A man in Gulshan e Iqbal, the eastern sector of the port city, on Friday allegedly killed his father and injured his stepmother in a domestic conflict.
The man beat his father to death and seriously wounded his stepmother, confirmed the police who arrived on the site after the incident.
The scuffle was caused by an internal family dispute, after which the man assaulted the couple. As per current information, the suspect has fled, but police are still investigating, the Karachi police said.
The police added that the bodies of his deceased father and his injured stepmother had been transferred to a hospital.
Earlier on October 18, A merchant in New Sabzi Mandi was robbed at gunpoint of Rs1.5 million as he walked outside the bank with the payment.
The culprits robbed the victim of Rs1,500,000 after brandishing a gun at him as he exited the bank and fled with the stolen money.
The market committee official of New Sabzi Mandi reported the crime to police, who confirmed the perpetrators fled the area shortly after the heist.
According to the information, the police have filed a case against unknown individuals based on the victim’s allegation, but there has been no progress in determining their names or whereabouts.
