Sultans stun chasing Karachi Kings with 12-run win

In the 16th match of the Pakistan Super League season six, Multan Sultans bagged 12-run victory against Karachi Kings at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Earlier, Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to field first. Multan Sultans scored 176 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs, setting the target of 177 runs for the chasing team.
In the second innings, Karachi Kings scored 164 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.
Babar Azam made 85 runs against the Sultans. Imran Khan’s three-wicket haul helped the Sultans defend the target. Imran Tahir claimed two dismissals.
In the first innings, Multan Sultans’ Rilee Rossouw made 44 runs, followed by Khushsil Shah (44 not out), Sohaib Maqsood (31) and Mohammad Rizwan (29).
Karachi Kings’ bowler Thisara Perera took two wickets. One wicket was bagged by Imad Wasim and Waqas Maqsood each.
It was the second league stage match between the two franchises. Karachi Kings had beaten Multan Sultans by 7 wickets on February 27 at National Stadium, Karachi.
Karachi Kings stand second in the points table while Multan Sultans claim the fifth spot.
Earlier, the PSL6 was postponed in March due to growing Covid-19 concerns in Pakistan. It was later rescheduled in United Arab Emirates which resumed on Wednesday.
