 Karachi imposes fine of Rs 5,000 on residents over covid-19 sops neglection

KARACHI: The Karachi district administration has imposed fines of Rs.5,000 on 20 people for not following covid-19 SOPs.

Shops and markets have been sealed for violating coronavirus SOPs on the directives of South Deputy Commissioner Irshad Sodhar.

The assistant Commissioner Sherina Junejo revealed that seven shops were sealed and were fined with Rs40,000 in Saddar.

Moreover, Daily Dubai restaurant in Defence was also sealed along with thirteen salons and two gyms.

On the other hand, 225 shops of a mobile market in Arambagh was also sealed .

The government has announced a zero-tolerance policy against people violating the covid-19 SOPs.

The police and army is putting all the efforts in enforcing covid-19 SOPs.
