KARACHI: The West district of Karachi has been allotted 60 acres of land by the Sindh government for the construction of two new graveyards.

Moreover, the provided land would be apportioned, as 55 acres would be used for graveyard in Mowach Goth and the remaining five acre for a graveyard in Mauripur.

The land allocation has been done under the land Act 1912 by BoR land utilization department after the approval of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

On the contrary, the vacant areas in the graveyard across the city are shrinking due to a large number of bodies being buried. However, Karachi Administrator Laeeq Ahmed said, the number of cemeteries will be increased in the other districts too.
