Karachi former SHO arrested over corruption charges
KARACHI: The former SHO of Karachi has been arrested over corruption charges and for being interlinked with criminals.
According to the sources, SHO Haroon Korai was suspended over the charges of corruption and being interlinked with the criminals.
The arrest was made after the inquiry conducted by the department.
However, the former Sachal goth former SHO was arrested Saadi Town in Karachi and further investigations are underway.
Earlier in September, a man was arrested for raping an eight-year-old child in Karachi’s Steel Town, according to the Karachi police.
According to the details, the victims parents filed a missing complaint at a police regarding their daughter in a police station in Somar Goth, on Friday.
The complaint revealed that the child was playing on the roof of the house and after few hours when her parents went to the roof, she wasn’t there.
However, after the complaint was filed, a search operation was launched and the eight-year old child was found in an empty plot in the neighbourhood.
According the police, the culprit has been identified as Kamran.
During the initial investigation, the police detained five men for questioning. Kamran was arrested after the eight-year-old recognised him.
Later, Kamran confessed about abducting the child from the roof of the house and raping her, the investigation officer revealed.
An FIR has been registered under Section 376 [punishment for rape] of the Pakistan Penal Code.
A medical examination of the survivor will be conducted and the suspect’s DNA samples will be collected today [Saturday], the officer added.
On September 1, police had arrested a suspect for trying to rape a six years old child in Charsadda.
SHO Umerzai police station Kashif Khan had arrested the suspect within few hours of the attempted rape incident. According to reports, when the suspect tried to sexually abuse the child, he started screaming which foiled the bid.
Police had said the suspect had confessed to committing the crime during interrogation saying that he was trying to rape the minor. A case had been registered against him, while investigation was underway.
According to details, a resident of Tarangzai area had apprised police that his six years old child was playing outside his house. Few moments later, he had came back home in horrified condition. He had said the child told that Muhammed Gul, another resident of Tarangzai, took him to an empty plot and tried to sexually abuse him.
