KARACHI: Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Monday said the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) would be completed in three phases.
“Railway Carriage Factory Islamabad will have an important role in ensuring the Karachi Circular Railway,” Sheikh Rasheed said addressing a ceremony in Islamabad.
The minister said Main Line One railway project would prove to be an important milestone in development of railway in the country.

He said efforts were being made for betterment of the Railways employees and steps were being taken to ensure regular payment to the pensioners of Pakistan Railways.
Later talking to the media, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said Prime Minister Imran Khan would complete his term. He said the opposition had no public support.
The minister said the prime minister would not give an NRO to the corrupt elements at any cost.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said on Sunday that the federal government wanted to introduce electric buses in Karachi.
He said that Karachi was having a public transportation problem and the incumbent government would take care of the problem soon.
