 Karachi braves coldest night of the year

Residents of Karachi experienced the coldest night of the ongoing winter season as the temperature dropped to 11.5°C on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

Cold and dry weather is likely to persist in the port city for the next 24 hours, with the temperature expected to stay in the 13-15°C range, said the PMD. 

The maximum temperature in Karachi is likely to be 30-32°C.

Light winds were blowing from the northwest, while humidity was reported at 66% on the night of December 01, 2022.

Meanwhile, experts of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) have predicted that temperatures would further drop in the days to come.

PMD further said the cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very cold in Gilgit-Baltistan and north Balochistan during night and morning hours.

The lowest temperatures were recorded in Skardu (-06°C), Kalat and Ziarat (-03°C).
