LAHORE: Head Coach and Chief Selector Misbah ul Haq on Monday said that we would have to give time to juvenile bowling to yield positive results.
“We have to try to stabilize the team for a longer run. A lot of positive things came to surface during the England tour,” Misbah Ul Haq said while addressing a post-England tour press conference in Lahore.
He said currently, good results were not being produced however he was satisfied with the mechanism. First test’s one session completely changed the course, he said. He said fast bowler Mohammad Amir got injured in the second T20 after which England launched an attack. Our team got under pressure after England’s attack, he maintained.
The former skipper said that they tried to give everyone a chance. The Pakistan management would give youngsters chances with continuation, he added. “We try to give Babar complete authority. Babar is a strong sportsperson,” he said.
England tour was crucial for reviving cricket, he said. Because of the tour he could not pay attention towards the domestic cricket, but now he would be more focused on domestic cricket, he said.
“Everyone will get a chance. We are modifying team as per our need,” he said.
The chief selector said that Mohammed Rizwan was the number one in wicket keeping, batting and confidence and Sarfaraz Ahmed was second in performance.
