ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl group) has cancelled the membership of four senior party leaders for violating party’s discipline. Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan, and Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk are among the expelled leaders.
JUI-F central spokesperson Muhammad Aslam Ghauri announced the decision on Friday. The spokesman further clarified that the opinions of the ousted party’s leaders were not owned by JUI-F meanwhile all the party workers have been warned against making any contact with them
The important decision has been taken in the light of Maulana Sherani’s comments on PDM and JUIF’s head Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman. Earlier Sherani had blamed Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) for fighting for “personal gains” while calling Fazl-ur-Rehman “selected”.
Maulana Sherani also said that the party is not “hereditary” or someone’s “personal party” while stating that he along with Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has a lot of contributions in the party.
