“Jimmy Fallon chose to mock Shehbaz Sharif but radio silence on Pakistan’s floods”, react Twitteratis

Netizens are not taking the joke made by famous host Jimmy Fallon about PM Shehbaz Sharif struggling with his headphones and raised a question about Jimmy’s hypocrisy of being silent about the devastating condition in Pakistan due to floods.

A video of PM Shahbaz Sharif struggling with his headphone during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the 22nd Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation went viral on social. Yesterday, American Television host Jimmy Fallon mocked Shahbaz Sharif by showing the clip on his show and said, “That guy is the leader of 220 million people”.

Netizens are not happy with Jimmy’s insensitive remarks and stated that a 70-year-old Pakistani man struggling with technology caught his attention but not the 33 million people affected by catastrophic floods in the country. They called him a hypocrite for his radio silence on Pakistan’s floods and fundraising campaigns.

A Twitterati took a jibe at Jimmy and wrote, “have u talked abt the devastating floods destroying Pakistan? “A nation of 220 million people” is destroyed by climate change because of YOUR country’s greed & wastefulness. If u haven’t donated or raised funds for us u don’t get to use us as a joke”.

Hey @jimmyfallon – have u talked abt the devastating floods destroying Pakistan? "A nation of 220 million people" is destroyed by climate change because of YOUR country's greed & wastefulness. If u haven't donated or raised funds for us u don't get to use us as a joke.

Here are a few reactions from netizens.

Deeply offensive that @jimmyfallon chose to mock 220 million people of Pakistan for a leader allegedly put in place after US-instigated regime change, while completely ignoring the suffering caused by devastating floods & climate change. Tone-deaf much? @nbc @FallonTonight

It’s exceptionally callous and in bad taste for @jimmyfallon to mock the PM of a country which is suffering from the worst natural calamity in its history. A comedian is all about the his timing and this joke just fell horribly flat. Use your massive platform to to better.

jimmy fallon's too brave to make fun of shehbaz sharif for someone who's president was literally trump.

— ع (@b1uephases) September 18, 2022

Ironic that those who elected Trump as their president have audacity to troll Shahbaz Sharif. In all talk shows technicians fix up the the microphones of guests. Its a technical work. @CMShehbaz gracefully asked for help.
There was nothing embarrassing in that @jimmyfallon clip

unfollowing everyone on my tl who thinks the shehbaz sharif public shaming on the jimmy fallon show is funny.

This can happen to anyone, it's just a human thing, you can only expect robots to be perfect.
@jimmyfallon really needs better content writers. Anyways, Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif got "featured" on Jimmy Fallon show.#CongratsSS #JimmyFallon pic.twitter.com/oWGwoS0SSE
