Former wife of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Jemima Goldsmith on Wednesday poked fun at a Jamiat Ulema e Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader for calling ‘WikiLeaks’ her cousin.
It may be noted that WikiLeaks is an international organisation that publishes news leaks, and classified media provided by anonymous sources. It was founded by an Australian journalist Julian Assange in 2006 and it attracted world’s attention when it published a series of leaks of the US military in 2010.
Talking with Aap News anchor Jameel Farooqui, Central Spokesperson of JUI-F Mufti Kifayatullah had claimed that ‘Vicky’ was Jemima’s cousin.
“For those who don’t speak Urdu – apparently I have a first cousin called “Wiki” – who set up Wikileaks- which is a Zionist tool, supporting Imran Khan’s Zionist agenda. This from a so called Islamic scholar/ cleric…. “Wiki’ cousin hai Jemima ka”,” the former wife of Imran Khan tweeted.

On Nov 1, Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan had asked the organisers of the ‘Azadi March’ to respect the agreement reached with the government and do not create difficulties for the residents of the capital territory.
“The government has not created any hurdles in the way of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F)’s protestors rather provided them all the facilities including water and electricity to the protest place of their choice,” Firdous Ashiq Awan had said talking to media in Islamabad.
To a query about the protest March of JUI-F, she had said the government had fulfilled its democratic posture but lamented that the opposition parties which never got tired of preaching the message of democracy had taken out a rally against a democratic government.
