Jamshoro man murders wife over her wish to pursue education
In another heart wrenching incident of domestic violence, a woman was brutally killed by her husband over her wish to complete studies in Jamshoro Sindh.
Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Jamshoro Javed Baloch told that, on September 26, the body of an unknown woman was found in the village of Ghulam Jakhro in Nooriabad, which was later identified as Majida Abbasi, who was a final year student in the Department of Art and Design of Sindh University Jamshoro.
According to the police, during the investigation, Zahid Solangi, the deceased woman’s husband, was arrested who told the police that he and Majida studied in the same class and got married two years ago.
The husband further informed that, she wanted to complete her final-year, but was barred from studying due to the poor economic condition of husband. On which Majida got angry and went to her father’s home.
Later, Zahid Solangi brought him back to home but she was demanding a divorce.
The accused confessed that, on September 22, he arrived at the Majida’s University on a motorcycle on the pretext of taking her to a visit of Karachi.
On their way to metropolis Solangi pushed Majda from a mountain near Goth Ghulam Jakhro in Nooriabad, after which she killed her by hitting a heavy stone on her head.
