KARACHI: The Jamaat-e-Islami has announced to stage a number of protests in Karachi starting from Friday (today). The party would demand from the provincial and federal governments to provide rights of citizens of the metropolis.
According to President of Jamaat-e-Islami (Karachi) Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman , the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was against the welfare of Karachi and did not provide the opportunities of employment.
“The government has understated the population of the city in the census to keep residents from getting their rights,” he further added.
The protests will be held throughout the entire month of January.
Moreover, the JI has issued a schedule of their protests, which will begin from Shara e Faisal (today). While, the march from Five Star Chowrangi to Hyderi Market will be held on 16th January.
The protest at Aladin Park and Karimabad will be held on 17th January and 23 January, respectively.
Furthermore, the JI will hold protests at different 50 location in Karachi on 28th January.
