Italy won the Euro Cup 2020 for the second time after beating England on penalties by 3-2 in London last night. The first time Italy won the same title was in 1968.
The match finished 1-1 after extra time with Luke Shaw and Leonardo Bonucci scoring for England and Italy respectively. After just two minutes of the game Shaw scored, but the Azzurri drew with Bonucci in the 67th minute. The match was however decided on penalties.
Celebrations erupted in Rome as thousands of people took to the streets after winning the Championship. On the other hand, the fans of England were saddened by the defeat as England lost a big game after the 1966 World Cup.
The best player of the league was “goalkeeper” Gigio Donnarumma, the one who blocked the English players for two times after the 1-1 (goal by Shaw and Bonucci) in extra time.
