Islamabad United claim 6-wicket victory against Gladiators

In the 12th match of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Islamabad United have defeated Quetta Gladiators by six wickets.

Islamabad United won the toss and decided to bowl against Quetta Gladiators.

In the first innings, Quetta Gladiators scored 156 runs with seven dismissals in 20 overs.

Islamabad United finished the 157-run target in the 17th over while losing four wickets.

Paul Stirling hit an outstanding half-century for Islamabad United followed by Rohail Nazir (34), Alex Hales (23) and Shadab Khan (21) meanwhile Zahid Mahmood took two wickets for the Gladiators.

In the first innings, Quetta’s Captain Sarafarz Ahmed also scored his half-century while Faheem Ashraf took three wickets for Islamabad United.

Earlier the match was scheduled on Monday but it was postponed to a day later (today) after Fawad Ahmed, a player from Islamabad United, turned out to be COVID positive.
