 Islamabad UNICEF official raped by own security guard

An official of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in the federal capital Islamabad was allegedly raped by her own security guard deployed at her residence, police said.

An UNICEF official from Sweden contacted the Aabpara police to lodge a complaint against the security guard deployed at her residence allegedly raped her.

According to police, the victim has been working in Pakistan since January 10.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the guard, who had been deployed at her residence in G-6/4 since March 11, entered her bedroom and raped her.

Aabpara police said that a case has been registered and a team has been formed which will track down the guard who escaped after committing the crime.
