Islamabad police arrest man for attempting to rape on Chinese woman
The Islamabad police has arrested a man for allegedly attempting rape on a Chinese woman in her house located in F-10, Islamabad.
According to the Margallah police, they arrested the man after woman filed a complaint against him.
Moreover, the accused worked as a labourer in F-8. The man is under custody and further investigations are underway.
Earlier, in 2020, the federal cabinet approved the Anti-Rape (investigation and trial) Ordinance and Pakistan Penal Code (Amendment) Ordinance 2020.
The law has introduced stern punishments for rapist, such as chemical castration and death penalty along with imprisonment for 10 years to life.
