Islamabad High Court sentences Usman Mirza life imprisonment

Islamabad: IHC has sentenced five convicts, including Usman Mirza, to life imprisonment in a case of harassment and assaulting a couple in Islamabad’s Sector E-11 and making an immoral video of them.

Case was heard in the Additional Sessions Court and on this occasion the police produced all the accused including Usman Mirza in the court.

The Sessions Judge asked the accused Farhan Shaheen what happened, were you present on the spot? Don’t look at the lawyer. Tell me what the lawyers said to you.

Farhan Shaheen said that, “I am not guilty even I was not on the spot.” The judge remarked that if you were not there then leave the court room and ordered the police to take the accused back.

The court, after hearing the arguments of the convicts, sentenced the main accused Usman Mirza, Ata-ur-Rehman, Idrees Qayyum Butt, Mohib Bangash and Farhan Shaheen to life imprisonment while acquitting the two accused Umar Bilal and Rehan.
