Ishaq Dar confident to bring down dollar below Rs200 in coming months

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar assured the nation that he would bring the dollar value below Rs200 with the help of his policies in the coming months.
Talking to a private news channel, the finance minister said, that the value of the rupee has been manipulated and warned speculators of strict action.
“I have done all the calculations, this value of dollar is not real, the actual value of dollar is below Rs200,” he added.
He said that the value of the dollar is market-based, it does not mean that speculators and smugglers should sink the country in thousands of billions to make their few crores.
Dar mentioned that the British pound dropped to an all-time low against the dollar recently but added that despite the rise of the US dollar, the rupee will strengthen as it is currently undervalued.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistani rupee appreciated by 0.51 percent against the US dollar and closed at Rs227.29 after gaining Rs1.16 in the interbank market yesterday (Monday).
