Iran sets $80 million bounty on Trump’s head

TEHRAN: Iran has placed a bounty worth 80 million dollar on head of US President Donald Trump, sources have said quoting Iranian state television.

International news sources have also said that Iran has threatened to attack the White House after the US threatened it of attack on its cultural sites. Tension between America and the Middle Eastern country has escalated after Iranian general Qasem Soleimani was killed on Jan 3 by the US military in an air strike outside Baghdad International Airport that stunned the Islamic Republic and raised fears of a new Middle East war.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had reported that US forces had killed the commander of its Quds Force foreign operations arm in an air strike at Baghdad International Airport.

“Iran has 80 million inhabitants. Based on the Iranian population, we want to raise $80million (£61million) which is a reward for those who get close to the head of President Trump,” it was announced, according to en24.

On the other hand, Iranian MP Abolfazl Aboutorabi has threatened that Iran could attack the White House, the Mirror reported. He said that a war had started and whoever would hesitate would lose it.

Supreme Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said that revenge would be taken for death of the Iranian general.

While, Donald Trump on Sunday threatened “major retaliation” if Iran took any action against his country and warned of massive economic sanctions against one of the biggest oil producing countries.
