Iran has successfully launched a satellite-carrying rocket below orbit, which may raise tension with the west.
According to the Ahmad Hosseini, the spokesman for the defence ministry’s space division, “For the first time in the country’s space field, the first research launch of the hybrid Zuljanah satellite carrier was conducted with the aim of below-orbit testing through achieving the technology for the most powerful solid fuel engine in the country.”
Moreover, solid fuel is used in the first two stages of launching the satellite carrier. However, it can carry satellite of weight up to 220 kg for 500 km.
Zuljanah was the name of the horse of Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (SAWW).
