In an exclusive interview with Dialogue Pakistan, Arzu Khan, a transgender activist from Peshawar, shared what she experienced at Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital when she was harassed by one of the hospital’s staff member. The incident happened on Sunday (last night).
Earlier, Arzu accused police and the hospital for protecting the alleged harasser but later she agreed to pardon him after he confessed to the crime in the presence of the relevant authorities.
“We (transgenders) also have hearts our body is also made up of sand (like others) not stones,[…] for God’s sake support and protect us,” she remarked. Arzu is also the president of KP’s transgender community.
