ISLAMABAD: International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has commenced online classes for the students of Tehfeez and Qirat amid coronavirus crisis.
According to head of the Faisal Masjid Islamic Center, Dr. Zia-ur-Rehman, the center started classes to ensure safety of the students keeping in view the global pandemic.

He said 85 students of total 8 classes of different stages had been taking classes of Tehfeez and Qirat.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has developed a databank of the online courses and shared it with universities in view of Coronavirus outbreak.
In a message on the prevailing situation, Chairman Higher Education Commission Tariq Banuri on Mar 19 had said the universities’ faculty had also been asked to prepare virtual courses for dissemination to students.
He had said the HEC had issued a comprehensive guideline in this regard.
