Interim Govt to be formed before November 2022 says Khawaja Asif

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that elections may be held in November before the appointment of a new army chief.
In an interview to a British broadcaster, Khawaja Asif said that it was possible that the caretaker government would leave before November and a new government would come.
Khawaja Asif said that Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa himself has announced that he does not want to extend his tenure. I welcome this announcement of General Qamar Javed Bajwa. This announcement of General Bajwa has closed the door of speculation.
The Defense Minister said that even General (retd) Raheel Sharif had never directly or indirectly demanded extension of tenure.
He further said that if the name of Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed was included in the seniority list then his name would be considered, all the names which would be present in this list would be considered.
Khawaja Asif also said that if the army sends the name of Faiz Hameed, then the Prime Minister has the opportunity to ask him to send 3 or 8 names instead of 5.
