 ‘Interference of political parties in employees’ matter to have undesirable consequences’

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has expressed sorrow over the protest held by the government employees in Islamabad on Wednesday.

“The prevailing matter was solved mutually but it’s saddened to see the government employees protesting even after that,” said Sheikh Rasheed.

According to Sheikh Rasheed, it was mandatory to keep finances in mind before taking any decision but the government agreed to raise the salaries from 16th grade employees.

Moreover, the employees had the right to protest within the limits of the law, he maintained.

He further added that “the interference of political parties in the matter would result in undesirable consequences.”

Sheikh Rasheed revealed that the Defense Minister Pervez Khattak was ready to increase the salaries by 24% but government has limits and it was ready to give increments according to what was suitable keeping in view the condition of the country and the treasury but the employees demanded much .
