ISLAMABAD: Inflation in the country has surged to 9.20 percent, with prices of 25 essential commodities rising in a week while prices of 17 remained stable.
According to details, inflation has become uncontrollable across the country and basic necessities are out of reach of the people. The Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) has released a report on inflation.
According to the latest data, inflation rose by 0.45 percent over the previous week, after which the country’s overall inflation rate reached 9.20 percent in a week. Also, the report mentioned that the prices of 24 essential commodities had risen in the past week.
It may be recalled that last week, inflation had risen to 1.24 per cent, after which the rate of inflation in the country reached its highest level of the current financial year, which was 11.2 per cent.
