Indonesia honours Naval Chief with highest military award

Indonesia has awarded Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi the highest military honor, Bintang Jalasena Utama, in recognition of its efforts to improve the relations between both countries’ naval forces.

The Naval Chief also held meetings with the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Defence, the Naval Chief and the Marine Corps Commander during his visit to Jakarta, and spoke about mutual cooperation and issues in regards to further increasing cooperation between the two naval forces.

The Naval Chief also visited various military facilities in Indonesia, and hailed Indonesian marines’ civility.
