ISLAMABAD: Indian troops in their relentless acts of state terrorism in Indian-occupied Kashmir martyred 95, 471 innocent Kashmiris including 7,135 in custody, since January 1989 till date.
A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of the World Human Rights Day said that these killings widowed 22,910 women and orphaned 107,780 children.
The report stated that the troops molested or disgraced 11,175 women and damaged 109,451 residential houses and other structures. It maintained that Indian troops and police subjected at least 8,000 people to custodial disappearance during 1989.
The report also revealed that thousands of young school boys and girls were also injured by the pellets fired by Indian troops while dozens including Heeba Jan, Ulfat Hameed, Asif Ahmad Sheikh, Bilal Ahmad Butt, Insha Mushtaq, Aquib Zahoor, Tariq Ahmad Gojri and Faizan Ashraf Tantray were blinded.
It went on to say that 38 Kashmiris including two women and three young boys were matryed and those seven were killed in fake encounter on custody during the last 128 days of lockdown by Indian troops in the territory.
During the current lockdown, 859 people were critically injured due to use of brute force, firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells on peaceful demonstrators by Indian military, paramilitary and police personnel in the occupied territory.
The troops molested, abused and disgraced 39 women after barging into the residential houses in the period.
