Indian Sikh pilgrims arrive in Pakistan to celebrate birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak

Over 2,500 Sikh pilgrims from India arrived in Pakistan through Wagah-Attari border on a 10-day visit to attend 553rd birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of their religion.
Additional Secretary Shrines, Rana Shahid and President of Sikh Parbandhak Committee, Sardar Amar Singh and government officials warmly received the Yatrees at Wagha Border.
880 Sikh pilgrims have been shifted from Wagah railway station to Nankana Sahib by the first special train.
The other visitors left for Nankana Sahib by three special trains under tight security provided by the Pakistan Railways, police and other law enforcement agencies.
Indian Sikh pilgrims will return on November 15 after visiting their religious places at various parts of Pakistan.
The main celebration of Baba Guru Nanak’s 553rd birth anniversary will be held on November 8 at Gurudwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib.
