Indian politicians are set to arrive in Pakistan

Indian politicians are set to arrive in Pakistan on Thursday (today) on the occasion of the 552nd birthday anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.
As per Indian media reports, the Chief Minister of Indian Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi who is also the President of Congress Indian Punjab division is set to visit Pakistan today.
Charanjit Singh Channi will be accompanied by his delegation who will come to Pakistan through Kartarpur Corridor.
Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Deputy Chief Minister of Indian Punjab. Other eight members of the Indian Punjab Assembly along with Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Harish Chaudhry will also visit Pakistan today.
The Kartarpur Corridor was shut down in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

Reports tell that the corridor was never shut down from Pakistan’s side. It was the Indian side that was blocked since 2020. But the Indian government has reopened the corridor from November 17, 2021.
Navjot Singh Sidhu, a member of the Indian Punjab Assembly is also set to visit Kartarpur Corridor. Earlier it was stated that he will come along with the Indian Punjab Chief Minister delegation but reports suggest that he will come on a later date.
Sikh pilgrims have already started to arrive in Pakistan to celebrate the 552nd birthday anniversary of the founder of the Sikh religion Baba Guru Nanak.
Pakistan issued at least 3,000 visas to the Sikh pilgrims so that they can start to arrive in Pakistan via Wagah Border.
