Indian media promotes jingoism
Different Indian web series like Bard of Blood and Sacred Games 2 are portraying Muslims in stereotypical roles which are an evident example of jingoism in Indian media.
On Thursday, trailer of Indian Netflix series, Bard of Blood was released which shows how a former RAW agent fights with militants in Balochistan. The web series are produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and stars Emraan Hashmi, Vineet Kumar Singh, Sobhita Dhulipala in main roles.
In the same way, another famous Indian Netflix web series, “Sacred Games 2” is based upon anti-Muslims and anti-Pakistan story line.
The tension has increased between the neighboring countries due to recent Kashmir crises. But instead of promoting peace, Indian media is playing an antagonist role by promoting war through their shows like Sacred Games and Bard of Blood.
