Indian Court convicts Hurriyat Leader Yasin Malik of life imprisonment

The court of India’s notorious National Investigation Agency (NIA) has convicted, the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik of life imprisonment, in a false case of terrorism funding registered against him in February 2019.
An Indian court had on May 19 convicted Yasin Malik in a false terrorism funding case.
Muhammad Yasin Malik has been lodged in the notorious Tihar Jail in New Delhi for many years.
Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik while talking to the judge in the court said, “I will not beg. Give me the punishment you want but first answer some of my questions. If I was a terrorist then why did 7 Prime Ministers of India keep coming to Kashmir to meet me?”
Yasin Malik further said that, ‘if I was a terrorist then why no charge sheet was filed against me during the case. If I was a terrorist then why I was issued a passport under Prime Minister Vajpayee regime? If I was a terrorist, why was I given the opportunity to give lectures at important places in India and other countries?’
The court ignored Yasin Malik’s questions and said that the time for conversation had passed. The court said, “Tell me, what you want to say about the proposed sentence?” To which Yasin Malik said, “I will not beg from the court.”
“I have been following Gandhi’s principles for the last several decades. If Indian intelligence proves me to be involved in any terrorist activity, I will quit politics. If I am found to be involved in any violent activity, I will accept death sentence. I will not beg for my life,” he added.
