India reports over 100,000 COVID cases in single day

At least 103,558 new COVID cases were reported in India in a single day, it emerged on Monday.

The country also reported 478 more deaths as it’s death toll surpassed 165,000-mark. India is the third most affected country after the United States and Brazil.

India has so far reported 12,589,067 confirmed cases while Maharashtra, home to the financial capital (Mumbai), remains its worst hit-state as over 3 million cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.
