NEW DELHI: India recorded over 1,553 cases as its biggest single-day spike in coronavirus cases on Monday, raising the total to 17,000.
At least 543 people have died from COVID-19 so far in the country.
The Indian government on Monday (today) eased lockdowns to allow some manufacturing and agricultural activity to resume.
The death toll of coronavirus infected patients has risen to 165,107 while the confirmed cases reached to 2,408,352.

629,101 have been recovered in 210 countries and territories of the globe.
The United States is on top where confirmed cases are recorded 764,265 and 40565 deaths.
In Spain there are 198,694 cases while 20,453 people have died so far. Italy is on 3rd with 178,972 infected people and 23,660 deaths.
