WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has referred to India as one of the most polluted countries in the world.
While responding to a question on climate change during the final presidential debate, he said “Look at India, it’s filthy. The air is filthy.”
In the climate change segment of the final US presidential debate with Democrat candidate Joe Biden in Nashville, Tennessee, the US president said “Look at China, how filthy it is. Look at Russia, look at India — it’s filthy. The air is filthy.”
To a query, he said that he walked out of the Paris Accord as the US had to take out trillions of dollars and the Americans were treated very unfairly.
