India apex court orders Nupur Sharma to apologise for her derogatory remarks against Prophet (PBUH)

The Indian Supreme Court has blamed suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma for igniting tension with her derogatory remarks on Holy Prophet (PBUH) and said she should “apologise to the whole country”.
According to the Times of India, Nupur Sharma, citing security concerns and threats to his life, had filed a petition in the Indian Supreme Court seeking transfer of cases registered against her in various cities to Delhi, but she later withdrew her request after Supreme Court’s verdict.
The court remarked on the apology for the insulting statement made by Nupur and said that it was too late to apologize now.
He further slammed the BJP leader, saying such people are not religious because religious people respect all religions.
Senior Advocate Maninder Singh said that Nupur had apologized but the High Court remarked that such people have an agenda and their real nefarious purpose is to gain cheap fame.
The Supreme Court termed the woman who made the insulting statement as ‘bad language’ and said that her language has set the whole country on fire. She made irresponsible statements which led to incidents like Udheypur and claimed that she should apologize to the whole country.
