KARACHI: Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab has said that a new storm of inflation has hit the country in the last 35 days.
During the press conference, he said that the government exists only in words, it has failed in practice.
He said that in 35 days, the prices of chickens increased by 29%, the price of chicken at Rs. 163 went up to Rs. 211 per kg while Rs 142 per dozen eggs have gone up to Rs 168.
The Sindh government spokesman said that potatoes went from Rs 68 to Rs 74 per kg and onions from Rs 67 to Rs 78 per kg. Tomatoes have gone up from Rs 110 to Rs 147 per kg.
Murtaza Wahab said that sugar has gone up from Rs 96 to Rs 101 per kg, garlic from Rs 229 to Rs 237 per kg, and the price of matches has increased by 5% in 35 days. He said that the price of LPG cylinder has increased by 12% in 35 days.
During the race conference, Murtaza Wahab said that PPP highlighted the issue of inflation, Bilawal Bhutto spoke of public issues everywhere, a common man understands Bilawal Bhutto, he knows that Imran Khan is not doing anything for them.
Murtaza Wahab said that the present government has failed miserably in the eyes of the people, there is no PDM or opposition behind inflation, instead, it is the government’s incompetence.
