Imran Khan’s substitute being fostered, tweets Maryam Nawaz

Replying to a tweet on Wednesday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif has claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan (whom she refers to as ‘selected’ in the tweet) is being seen as ‘spent force’ and his substitute is being fostered, without naming anyone.

Earlier, a man named Shahab Siddiqui took to Twitter and mentioned the PML-N leader: “Hope you are doing well @MaryamNSharif. Rough day at the office yesterday, (…) We still appreciate everything you have done thus far.”

No rough day at all particularly when you know what’s happening & why. Tbh,the one who should be really worried is the Selected bcoz he is being seen as a ‘spent force’ & his substitute is being fostered. Btw, I am not liking the tweet but responding directly 😜 @CherieDamour_ https://t.co/P4adReJD9Q

Later on Maryam responded to Siddiqui’s message as she wrote: “No rough day at all particularly when you know what’s happening & why. Tbh,the one who should be really worried is the Selected bcoz he is being seen as a ‘spent force’ & his substitute is being fostered.”

After her response, Twitteratis are speculating that the PML-N leader may have called Bilawal Bhutto Zadari “next selected” as a rift has been witnessed between the two mainstream political parties — PPP and PML-N.

PDM has been targeting PM Imran Khan and his government since September, 2020. The opposition leaders have alleged that Imran Khan is “the selected PM backed by non-democratic forces” as they demand his resignation.
