Imran Khan to announce ‘next plan of action’ today at 5pm

Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan will announce his next plan of action in an important address to ‘huge’ demonstration outside Punjab Governor’s House today (Thursday) at 5pm.

While talking to the media along with PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry in Lahore, former federal minister Hammad Azhar said that an attempt is being made to insult the mandate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI).

He alleged that PTI lawmakers were receiving unknown phone calls to change their ‘loyalties’.

“Zardari Raj is using money to interfere in Punjab’s affairs,” he added.

PTI Focal Person for Economy Hammad Azhar said that the party would hold a “huge” demonstration outside Punjab Governor’s House at 5pm to record its protest.

“No one will be allowed to take unconstitutional measures and people will show themselves what they want,” Azhar said.

Notably, Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman had asked the chief minister Parvez Elahi to take a vote of confidence from the House, while PML-N and PPP lawmakers submitted a separate no-trust motion against him in a bid to bar him from dissolving the assembly.

The development came after Imran Khan announced to dissolve Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assemblies to pave the way for early elections.

Earlier a day, Speaker Punjab Assembly Sibtain Khan wrote a letter to President Arif Alvi asking the head of the state to remove Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman under Article 101 sub-Article(3) of the Constitution.
