ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has set condition for resignation from the Prime Minister’s Office.
In a statement, PM Imran said that he was ready to offer his resignation, given that the opposition leaders returned the money looted from the national exchequer.
Sources said that during the federal cabinet’s meeting, he said that even Jan 31 had passed, however the opposition leaders did not submit their resignations. “You need to be braveheart to submit a resignation,” he said.
Sources have quoted the prime minister as saying that when former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, former president Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman would return the looted money, then he would also submit his resignation.
On the flip side, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leader and Pakistan Muslim League-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday said that the mechanism for resignations from the houses would be reviewed on 4th February.
