Imran Khan announces countrywide protests until PM Shehbaz, Sanaullah and an ISI official resigns

In his first address since the assassination attempt, PTI chairman Imran Khan announced that the party will be holding countrywide protests until prime minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal interior minister Rana Sanaullah and an ISI official removed from their offices.

At the begging of his address to the nation, PTI Chairman Imran Khan informed that he was hit by 4 bullets in the leg in Wazirabad attack and asked Dr. Faisal Sultan to inform the details details through X-ray reports.

Imran Khan revelaed that a day before leaving for the party’s long march, it was learned that they had planned to kill him in Wazirabad or Gujarat.

In the press conference, Imran Khan reiterated his position regarding the alleged US conspiracy to oust his government and said that US official Donald Lu threatened to remove Imran Khan and the government is ousted through a no-confidence motion by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

“People vote for me because people are fed up with them and then the establishment decides it’s time for a change and they bring them [corrupt mafia] back and that’s the conspiracy,” he said.

Imran Khan said that neutrals were silent on external and internal conspiracy, adding that, “You take whatever meaning of neutral you want but they knew the plot has been hatched but did not stop.”

Imran Khan furthered that the country’s establishment had got used to the fact that wherever they push, people will go there.

“They got a blow when the Pakistani nation decided they didn’t want those who have been looting the country for 30 years,” Khan added.

Agencies against democratic process

“In 2015, the Judicial Commission on rigging, had made it clear that if EVMs machine were introduced, 90% of rigging would be eliminated but they opposed it because after that the election cannot be rigged,” Imran Khan said.

Imran Khan alleged that after party’s win in by-elections the ‘handlers’ were shocked. He added that, then the handlers appointed Major General Faisal to increase the hardships for PTI.

Referring to the forced ban on journalists, Khan said that ‘the journalists who were in the favor of PTI are being treated harshly.

He revealed that PTI’s lawmakers were blackmailed and threatened by doctored indecent videos of them.

“Our own agencies are not allowing the democratic process and instead of accepting the mistake they are forcing their decision on the people,” Khan said.

While referring to the prohibited funding case against him, Imran Khan said, the Election Commission of Pakistan is being used to disqualify him in the foreign funding case, adding that, ‘later, it was revealed that there was no foreign funding and it was prohibited funding’.

“When they learned that the party could not be disqualified in the prohibited funding, so they made Toshakhana case against me,” Khan added.

Musharraf’s martial law was liberal

Imran Khan said that “since Major General Faisal came in Islamabad, journalists were oppressed, further adding that, “I remember Musharraf’s martial law, it was liberal, compared to today.”

Referring to senior journalist Arshad Sharif’s murder case, Khan said that the nation will not forgive those who killed Arshad Sharif.

Former prime minister revealed that he and Arshad Sharif’s family knew who were behind the heinous act and who forced him to leave the country first then UAE.

Salman Taseer like attack on Imran Khan

Imran Khan alleged that ‘when they witnessed record public gathering of PTI, they plotted to kill me him.

“4 people decided to kill me in a closed room for which I have recorded a video with their names and I urged my people to disclose the video when I got killed,” Khan said.

He said that they made another conspiracy and decided to kill him in a way Salman Taseer was gunned down.

“They accused me of blasphemy and then PML-N’s leaders started projecting it to the people,” Imran Khan claimed.

Imran Khan said that ‘what they did in Wazirabad, their plan was that some religious extremist would kill Imran Khan like what happened to Salman Taseer because he had insulted religion’.

Former prime minister added that he had revealed this plan in front of the public on September 24 in the public gathering and it has happened exactly on the same script as what happened in Wazirabad.

“How did I know, the insiders told me a day before Wazirabad incident, they planned to kill me by using the script of religious extremism,” Khan added.

Accusing the Federal Interior Minister, he said that ‘three people made the plan, first of all Rana Sanaullah as he is a murderer, further adding that, “Rana Sanaullah and Shehbaz Sharif killed 70 people in Model Town.”

Khan alleged that the two were involved in this plan and Major General Faisal joined them.
