LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information Fayazul Hassan Chohan has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan allowed broadcasting of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s multiparty conference speech on TV channels in Pakistan.

The federal government had earlier warned TV channels that the Pakistan Electronics Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) would take stern action if Nawaz Sharif’s speech was aired for he is a proclaimed offender.

Fayaz Chohan said that Imran Khan knew that the former prime minister would damage his own reputation with his speech. He lauded vision of his party head.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz said peaceful protest was right of the opposition parties, but violation of law and the Constitution would not be tolerated.

Talking to a private news channel in response to the opposition’s “All Parties Conference”, he said the opposition parties had no courage to hold the long march.
Shibli Faraz said opposition parties’ leaders were involved in massive corruption and they were making all such efforts to escape from the accountability process.

Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said pressure tactics being used by the opposition parties against the democratically elected government would fail. He said the opposition parties’ leaders could not present any new thing in their Conference.

Fawad Chaudhry said the opposition parties wanted to get rid of the corruption and money laundering cases by using different tactics against the government.
