Imran directs to complete process of electronic voting system for overseas Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday directed the concerned authorities to complete the process of electoral reforms and electronic voting system for overseas Pakistanis at the earliest.
“Overseas Pakistanis are an asset of the country and must be involved in the election process,” he said while chairing a meeting on the use of Electronic Voting Machines in Islamabad.
Imran Khan said the only option to ensure transparency in the election process was use of electronic voting machines.
He was given a detailed briefing on the progress made so far in the use of electronic voting machines and legislation for electoral reforms.
The prime minister reiterated his commitment to ensure transparency in the use of electronic voting machines in the electoral process, after meeting all constitutional requirements.
He said the government was committed to ensuring transparency in the electoral process of the country.
