“I’ll not leave a good role because of an alleged abuser”: Hajra Yamin
Actress Hajra Yamin who recently featured in a web series called “Sevak” alongside Mohsin Abbas Haider shared why did she agree to work alongside him.
Recently, Hajra Yamin appeared in an interview for Independent Urdu in which she was asked why did she agree to work alongside Mohsin Abbas Haider who was accused of domestic abuse by his ex-wife.
To that question Hajra said that our industry only has a limited number of roles for women where she is playing someone unique and not a damsel in distress, so she will never leave her professional place for an alleged abuser.
Hajra said that she will take the opportunity if she gets a good role. However, she can things which are in her control like avoid going to award shows or events where alleged abusers or predators are given space.
